Grand Place is indeed grand. The main square of Brussels is surrounded by very old, very nice buildings. Only a block away he's standing. Le Maneken Pis. The little peeing guy. But he's so small. Only a foot or so tall. Yet his watering in the fountain never ends. What has he been drinking? And why is he so famous? He's so small...

It is somewhere in Arizona. I think. Could be New Mexico. Left Phoenix, next major city somewhere in Texas. Stops by in a small town. Very very small, and very very remotely located. Reminds me very much of the little town in the movie ”Tremors”. If this town was attacked by giant worms, would anyone ever know? Eventually people would. After all, there is a bus stop. For whom?

The Rock in the Bay. The one Clint Eastwood escaped from and the one Ed Harris/Nicolas Cage/Sean Connery fought over. Once the home of Al Capone. It is beautifully located in the San Francisco Bay. Much has been left untouched since this high-security facility was closed down in the 1960’s or so. Comfort and pleasure aren’t the first things that comes to mind here. Not exactly Hotel California. You couldn’t check out any time you like...

The Rock of Europe is a mighty sight. Ancient people knew it as Hercules’ pillars. The gateway to the big ocean, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. James Bond raced a car down the rock while fighting an evil dude. A major accomplishment, considering the roads are rarely no wider than the car. The combined length of the roads and tunnels inside the rock are as long as the combined length of the roads outside it in the territory of Gibraltar. Interesting fact. Not as interesting as the monkeys though. They are cute. They bite. And they steal peanuts, from your hand or your pocket or your handbag. They are very clever. And they are untouchable. Tradition says that as long as they are there, the Rock will remain British.

It seems like a pretty nice little hotel. Nothing extravagant, but it's affordable, and right on the beach. But apparently there is a problem. The old man who rings the door is not very good at English. "Celind" he says. "That's me" I reply, having no clue what anyone could want me, considering not many people know I'm in Maui. "No, Celind leaking!" he says again, this time with a slight irritation in his voice. Likewise, I reply "I'm him", thinking he should get it by now. It also seems a bit odd that he would suggest I'm leaking...Once again he makes an attempt, "Celind leaking!". I'm about to give up and call on my friend, when the man finally remembers the good old sign language. "Ceiling leaking" and points to the ceiling...
