Thousand Trails Orlando - Clermont, Florida

We spent the first two weeks in March at Thousand Trails, Orlando. The park is located on US-27 about 4 miles north of Highway 192. This park has got to be one of the best RV parks in the country. The common area is well done and the sites are spaced and angled for privacy. If any of you would like to try a couple of nights free at this park, call or e-mail me and I will be glad to set it up. You’ll be given a tour of the park which I think you will find interesting.

MMAP Project at Lake Placid - Lake Placid, Florida

 This place was Amazing visited Jan 2, 2007

The project doesn't start till Friday and we had reservations at Peace River, but decided to come directly here. I was so tired from jet-lag and just didn't want to move again in a couple of days. There are lots of other groups volunteering here besides MMAP, but we managed to snag a choise site under a huge live oak tree. This is a beautiful location and we feel very blessed to be here.

Christmas at Lesley's - Chico, California

On December 23 we flew to Sacramento and rented a PT Cruiser and drove to Chico where we had Christmas with Lesley, Seth and Meagan. Later that week we drove to Gustine for the day and had lunch with Debbie and Mary.

Thousand Trails Orlando - Clermont, Florida

We moved up to Thousand Trails Orlando on Monday, December 11 and stayed until we flew out to Chico, California for Christmas. We kept hearing the Sandhill Cranes, but I could never get a picture and then they cut the grass across from us and suddenly there they were, almost tame enough to walk up to.

Peace River Thousand Trails - Wauchula, Florida

 This place was Amazing visited Nov 29, 2006

We stayed at the Peace River Thousand Trails Park south of Wauchula from November 29 to December 11. While there I looked up one day and saw Donna Tuttle. As always happens they had just arrived and we were leaving the next morning. We did manage to get in a few games of Pegs and Jokers that night. We managed to park in A-row and I could get the WiFi signal a good part of the time, although I could not send e-mail without going into the clubhouse and dialing up. One morning I went for an early walk and the sky was fill of turkey buzzards. Hundreds of turkey buzzards for as far as the eye could see just floating on the drafts above the park. They must have come from all over the state for the event.
