Corp of Engineers Park on Columbia River - Rufus, Oregon
4 Stars  This place was Great visited Sep 5, 2007
Wednesday night we stopped at a Corp of Engineers Park on the Columbia River. Since they honor the Golden Age Card it only cost $8.50. The campground had parallel parking along the river blocking the view for most of the other sites, but someone had reserved the one in front of us and didn’t show so we enjoyed a nice view of the river. It is a beautiful park where the Columbia and John Day converge.

Oasis RV Park on Snake River - oHungtington, OR, Oregon
3 Stars  This place was Average visited Sep 4, 2007
In keeping with our revised plan of shorter driving days, we stayed at a nice little park on the Snake River between Ontario and Huntington, OR. I used the laundry and it was clean and the price was reasonable. We had a storm about sundown. Lots of wind, but not enough rain for that dry country. We enjoyed watching the trains traveling along the other side of the river.

Intermountain Campground - Wallace, Idaho
3 Stars  This place was Average visited Sep 3, 2007
Jim was getting tired of driving 300 miles a day in 90 degree heat so I revised our plan and we stayed the night at Intermountain RV in Wallace. I’m so glad we did. It was extremely hot by 2:30 p.m. and this place looked like an oasis with all the shade trees. We couldn’t wait to get off the road. We had water and electric and used the dump the next morning. They honor several discounts including Coast to Coast Good Neighbor and Escapees. I was surprised the next morning when I went for a walk outside the park. It was so dry it looked like the desert in Nevada.

Morgan County Fairgrounds - Morgan, Utah
3 Stars  This place was Average visited Sep 2, 2007
Sunday on a holiday weekend and no place to stay. I called the Mobile Home park that I’d found and the answering machine said office hours were Monday through Friday. We stopped at the Welcome Center , but didn’t get much help. About 5p.m. we saw a fairground sign on I-84 and pulled off in search of it. The gate was open and we found 15 amps of power and some water. It was in the 90s so we parked under a pavilion to get some shade. We were surprised after dark to hear another rig pull in. The next morning we found a motorhome pulling a horse trailer with two horses just outside the pavilion. The couple had just finished a rodeo circuit and were returning home.

Blue Water City Park - Seward, Nebraska
3 Stars  This place was Average visited Aug 30, 2007
This was a very nice little park going west out of Seward on US-34.. About 18 gravel sites were available with electric only. Water was also available, but you had to fill the tank. The cost was $7 for seniors.
