Overpriced and somewhat shabby
We stayed at the Lighthouse Inn for our son's wedding and got the discounted rate of $219/night (before taxes!) We had a room on the third floor which may have been a child's or servant's room in the Inn's historic past. It was small but decor was decent. Bridal suite was quite spacious but exposed mini-frig sitting in the middle of the room was rather out of place in a "historic" inn. I had to ask for assistance with our luggage (the desk clerk helped us!) There was no bath mat for the tub, the bath towels were small and not at all luxurious, and we got one small soap for both the tub and lavatory. Room AC did nothing to remove dampness in the air (so everything felt damp), but was VERY efficient at cooling. So much so that we had condensation on the window. The public areas are lovely (if you don't look too close- carpet on stair was very dirty) and very "historic". Food at reception was very good. Sunday brunch was good but pricey! It is a very nice place for a wedding/reception (wth great opportunities for pictures) but we probably wouldn't stay there again. Overpriced for what you receive!
