Unethical business practices
My parents were visiting San Diego. They were booked at the La Jolla Village Lodge for two weeks. The lodge had their credit card and confirmed them for these dates. Because a holiday week-end fell at the end of their stay, the manager of the lodge actually denied them their reservation (they were already settled into the room). They were asked to leave to make room for guests who would pay a higher premium than the rate they had been promised for their dates!
They ended up high and dry with no lodging on a holiday weekend after booking a reservation and giving them a credit card. Worse - after they were forced to check out - the lodge attempted to charge them for the full duration of their reservation, even though they were asked to leave three nights early. The management here is highly unethical. Avoid staying here at all costs.
