Wow, what a view!
My family and I had the pleasure of getting a 5th floor room facing the battlefield at this hotel. Wow, What a view! We really loved the location of the hotel.
What hotel staff we had contact with were nice. The front desk person gave us a couple of good recommendations for restaurants for dinner. (They were O'Rorke's and Dobbin House). We chose O'Rorke's and wasn't disappointed.
The room was very clean and there were no odors in our room. It looks like it's been recently updated.
My oldest son loved being able to go to the lobby and access the wireless internet while I enjoyed having the high speed wired internet access in our room. One suggestion that I have is that you bring your own LAN cable (which is what I did) so that you don't have to borrow one from the front desk.
The only negatives I have about our room/stay are: 1) the A/C did not seem to be working very well. I did not notify front desk about this until we were checking out because I knew they would just have us change rooms. 2) The restaurant is closed on Sundays and we were unaware of this until we went downstairs for supper. The restaurant hours are not posted on the website. 3) The pool is currently being renovated and we also were unaware of this until we checked in.
Additional Info that might affect our room/stay: 1) We had reservations and 2) We are priority club members.
