I just came back yesterday from my 7 days vacation. Unless these 7 days were exception for a 'quality service with a smile' weekly special, I had a very pleasant stay. Fast check-in, even before their posted time. Free upgrade to a beach view just for asking. Another upgrade to a room with lobby for mentioning "anniversary" although I had forgotten my marriage certificate(which is required as a proof) a bottle of champagne, sweets in my room for my kid. It took a little convincing of course with sincerity(It wasn't a lie). 99% of the staff were pleasant and ready to serve with a smile on their face without asking for tips. Even bigger smile when you offered a tip (they expect but they don't ask). Bell boys offered true advice (in English) about points of interests and what to do or not with kids. Great "Kids Club" activities.

I don't know what possessed me to ask for a transfer to "Oasis Cancun" hotel, but they gladly did, without charge. It was a waste of my 4 hours of vacation (See my review rating 3 for "Oasis cancun"). Despite the free upgrade to a quiet rooms there, I came back to Oasis Palm Beach. Again they gave me a beach view room for the rest of the stay. That's what I call a welcome back with a smile and open arms.

Although a smaller hotel, Everything was conveniently located, nice big pool, private beach, very good restaurants and bars, reasonably good food. 2 painter artists were visiting every evening, amazing and entertaining the kids and adults as well with their art work till 10.00pm. We bought 5 pictures for $20 each.

If you want a pleasant, peaceful 'family' vacation especially with kids up to teens and don't want to be around the nuisance of young runaway college kids, this hotel offers great value, service and accommodation but don't expect luxury treatment.

Avoid this "Oasis cancun" and go to "Oasis Palm Beach".

Absolutely lousy hotel for matured sensible adults or pre-teen kids looking for a pleasant vacation. OTOH may be a paradise for youngsters looking for "fun". It took us 2 hours at the non-A/C check in counter in a hot humid weather. They did give me a free upgrade to a far away 'quiet' rooms(and hence the upgrade to rating 3). Rooms were nice but the 2 hours we spent in the lobby, we had already made up our mind. After half an hour in the room and few phone calls for services we called the front desk to check out. Another hour at the check out and we were on our merry way to "Oasis Palm beach". This may not be a qualified review because we did not sustain the ordeal that many others did. Except that my wife lost a camera during the short 4 hour stay. My first impression is quite in agreement with other reviews. My sympathies for those who suffered for their vacation stay.

My only suggestions to the future vacationers is to immediately ask for transfer to other Oasis sister hotels and it's free if you beach(!) about the inconvenience . "Oasis Palm beach" offers a small but great accommodation and services through out the hotel starting with check in, drinks at the bars, food, towels, you name it. 99% of the staff is extraordinarily nice and don't even ask for tips but are happy with what ever you give them. I always got the service with a smile on their face.
