This hotel has a really nice feel to it when you arrive, it's modern but friendly! The room was fabulous, great decor, good size, comfortable bed. . . I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the complimentary rubber ducky you get in the bathroom!

The food was lovely, really substantial and reasonable for the quality.

In terms of location, you really couldn't ask for better! Right in the historical and quirky 'grassmarket', behind the castle and only minutes walk from all the shops. The terrace on the top floor has a marvelous view of Edinburgh Castle and the cobbled streets below.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone business or leisure.

The hotel itself was lovely, nice building, friendly staff and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. It was the room however, that let it down! It was small and claustrophobic - we couldnt open the window so had to keep going outside to get some fresh air. It was also a little shabby especially the bathroom which was clean but run down.

With regards to the location, it was perfect, right in the centre of the city, easy to find with free parking and a picturesque view of the park.

Perfect if you're just looking for a place to sleep and some breakfast. Its lack of leisure facilities make it more suitable for business rather than holiday.
