The check in clerk was more interested in talking with other employees than checking us in. Beds sagged more than should be acceptable, and the linens were thin. But the room was clean and relatively comfortable, breakfast better than some others in this price range.

Hampton Inn gives you a reliably comfortable bed all over the country. This location is convenient, with several good restaurants nearby. The breakfast for the 3 days we stayed was, however, not up to Hampton standards...unless the standards recently changed. The fruit in the basket was badly bruised or empty. The cereal dispensers were very messy, and the hot food wasn't hot (nor was it tasty). The desk person explained that their normal person was on vacation. He might have given a clue to an on-going problem when he suggested that he had hoped it would be better since they had a temporary replacement.

I wanted to try out a Red Roof Inn for the first time. The low price and relatively good reviews on this site convinced me to make a reservation for this location. The beds were sagging significantly; the non-smoking room reeked of smoke. The motel is located at a busy intersection, with an entrance that was easy to miss, and difficult to get back to if you miss the entrance. It's located near numerous "adult" clubs (and one that seems to be on the same property....). So saving money is good, but I'm wondering if you can save money in Ft. Wayne and have a better motel experience?

had a good deal on hotwire. Personable and efficient check-in. Room was comfortable. Location is OK, but not near too much of interest.
