nice room, questionable value

This hotel is down toward the end of the "main drag" in Hot Springs (Central Ave.), near the mall & some of the newer businesses; it's several miles from Oaklawn and Bathhouse Row.

We checked in on a Sunday and they were kind enough to let us check in by 1 p.m, when we got there.

The hotel was sparsely populated, mainly due to renovation, I think. Beds were very comfortable and many things were relatively new, such as most of the bedding. Beds were very comfortable. I didn't care about the view that much, which was good--ours was of Central Ave. and the hotel parking lot. The bathrooms had smaller vanities than my wife had noticed at other hotels, she mentioned.

Biggest problem with the room was lack of central heat & air, it was very difficult to keep a comfortable, consistent temperature in the room, and I adjusted it a couple of times during the night.

Somehow, a plumber cut a water line so the hotel had to move us from one room to another (2 night visit, we had to move the 2nd night). They were nice enough to agree to 2 complimentary breakfasts for our trouble, which I requested. Breakfast was at a restaurant within the hotel, and was good, with good service.

I noticed someone's discarded room service meal was in the hallway for 6 or 7 hours the first night we were there.

Overall, the hotel was comfortable although perhaps a bit pricey. It generally goes for around $85 on Expedia, Travelocity, sites like that. I managed to get it for under $70 on Hotwire. For $70, I'd give it a B+ for $85+ I'd give it a C. Hotwire gives it 3 stars. The hotel was built in 1973 and despite renovations 4 years ago and the current one, it's not quite up to that level. I'd stay here again, though.

I am very likely to return to the Clarion Resort Conference Center.
I might recommend it to friends.

Good visit despite some noisy guests

I-540, a local interstate puts you within 5-10 minutes of nearly anything in Fayetteville (and University of Arkansas athletic events), Springdale, and the newer shopping facilities in Rogers, so the location is helpful.

The hotel has a very attractive lobby & check-in area, and atrium. Check in/out was also very easy & staff was friendly--I was particularly impressed with Heather at the front desk! Additionally, my wife & I purchased a bottle of wine at a nearby store but neglected to bring a wine opener; a bartender in the hotel sports bar was kind enough to open it for us.

The rooms were quite spacious, contained a couch, and beds were comfortable. My wife found some of the decor a bit dated, but everything was clean and "cozy". TV was a bit small.

Hotel features a sauna, indoor pool, fitness room, restaurant, and the aforementioned bar.

My main problem with the hotel was the noise level of the lobby. With the design of the hotel, all the rooms face & overlook the hotel lobby/lounge area. The Saturday/Sunday I was there, there were groups of young male teens running around, yelling, and even bouncing a basketball in that area. All of that noise echoes directly up toward the rooms, and is definitely something you hear within the room. The noise finally stopped about 11 p.m., luckily we hadn't went to bed for the evening before then.

The hotel needs to keep a little more of an eye on young guests, if they're as poorly behaved as these kids were. Obviously their parents or sponsors didn't care what they were doing, but other guests shouldn't have to deal with that.

Overall, despite that noise, I was pretty pleased with hotel and its location. I managed to get a GREAT deal with Priceline, paying less than 1/2 of the normal Expedia/Travelocity/Orbitz price. I would stay there again, particularly if I'm able to get a good deal on the room.

no frills, decent value

Location is great for Magic Springs, but it's not super if you're in town for Oaklawn, nor is it very close to the newer downtown areas of Hot Springs (for instance, near Hot Springs mall).

We booked on Priceline, and got a pretty good deal on it. Check in/front desk went smoothly, and the people were very friendly and helpful.

Water pressure isn't great, and it took forever to get the water warm for showers/baths. TV was very small (19" maybe?) for a motel. Room was clean, had a table and chairs, but was a bit worn.

If you're just staying for a night or two, it's certainly a good option and considerably more affordable than a lot of other hotels. Expect a no-frills, but clean room and you shouldn't be disappointed.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Knights Inn Hot Springs.
I might recommend it to friends.

above average

Hotel's rooms are nice, comfortable, and clean. There is a nice indoor pool on premises. Continental breakfast is available, front desk was friendly and check-in went smoothly.

Location is good, Waffle House and Denny's are available within walking distance for breakfast. If you bid on a Priceline room for Springdale, there seems to be a very good chance of getting this facility--all three of my visits were the result of Priceline, once at Baymont, a stay at La Quinta this past fall, and of course the most recent one. I'd continue using Priceline or other similar sites for Springdale, as I'm pleased with my past experiences with this hotel (3rd time at this facility).

I am very likely to return to the La Quinta Inn Springdale.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
