The new owners are making a good Inn great!
I spent a week and wish it had been longer. A wonderful tour of the Inn revealed unique and lovely Victorian suites touting all the latest in comfort and luxury but the overall feel was a peaceful bliss. The new owners have upgraded the gourmet breakfast and often do a brunch buffet on the weekends. 10 suites each have spacious double Jacuzzi tubs and showers, 600 thread count sheets, sitting areas, bathrobes and thirsty towels, DVD, refrigerator access with snacks and beverages. They also have a media room and a library that holds a host of movies, books magazines, games, wireless internet, etc for lots of fun. We loved the double hammock in the shade.
The beakfast included specially baked items, egg dishes, this really thick maple bacon that smelled so great when we woke up, they special order their coffee and it's worth it! Pam made oatmeal pancakes with a blackberry compote and whipped cream, and a yogurt parfait with homemade granola, very yummy. There's a chair massager in the media room, and the usual dryers, alarm clocks, TV, CD & DVD players, irons, etc., in the suite. They have thought of just about everything. They offer dinner by reservation and we had the chicken linguine with sautéed mushrooms and artichokes, a cilantro Caesar salad and homemade tiramisu for dessert, it was top notch. There were lots of antiques, but it was tasteful and not overdone, it was beautiful and still very livable. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful, we felt like family by the time we left and hope to return again next year. There was a lot to see and do!
