A beautiful place, but way overpriced!
I went for a 2 night getaway with my husband.
When we got there, there was a big QVC convention taking over the place. We had to wait in a long line, but we were immediately approached by staff and they took us aside to quickly check us in. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
The room was very clean and had a great water view, with a wraparound balcony. The first night the restaurant in the hotel was closed due to the QVC people, so we had to go to the Blue Point Provision. Cool atmosphere. My husband got a steak, the best steak I ever had!
We golfed the next day. The course is absolutely beautiful, and again, the staff was excellent. We ate at the clubhouse and they were very sweet with fast service. We had to eat at Michener's Lounge that night. Very long wait for food, but the server was very apologetic.
The next day, couples massage at the spa. It was awesome! All in all, this resort is beautiful, but ridiculously overpriced. The price is the only thing that would stop us from going back.
Also, they need some live entertainment to liven it up! Two mixed drinks at Michener’s lounge was over $16, and a can of beer was $5.50! The rooms are very expensive, you would think you wouldn't be robbed when it came to everything else. We spent two nights and a day at the spa, and we ended up spending at least $1,400. Just make sure you have deep pockets to stay there. It certainly is a beautiful place!
