This appears to be a new facility. It is clean and comfortable. Be sure to request a microwave and mini fridge for the room. We had a discounted room, and did not get those two things, but it was a nice room. The price at that level was very reasonable. It is on Lake Hamilton with very nice views.

The free breakfast was better than usually found in hotels too.

news! this facility has fallen! I just stayed there on 8/15 and 8/16/08.

I was given room 218 at check in and there were fire ants all over the bathroom floor. went back to the front desk and was given room 126.

This room had a big stain on the ceiling, the carpet was loose and could trip you and the shower curtain was badly mildewed, with both stains and strong odor. The whole hotel smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. When we asked about that, they said that they couldn't control smoking in the hotel. I was charged full price and was given a bad room! I won't be back!

The first time I stayed here, I noticed a very distinct mildew odor in all the hallways. this is no doubt the result of wet feet after enjoying Lake Hamilton.

I have only stayed in the winter though and the carpets should have been cleaned by then. I recently booked a room there for the holidays, and when I arrived, I was told several floors were under renovation. this should have been mentioned when I was booking. I called them myself to book it. I didn't stay, but went to another hotel to avoid the construction noise.

When we checked in, we were given a key to an occupied room, because the young lady at the counter did not check the records properly. As a result of this, we walked in on an elderly couple who were in bed, and not fully dressed.

This was made especially uncomfortable because I had my two young sons with me. We went down to the desk immediately and got another room.

That night, when we attempted to bathe our youngest, we ran the water in the tub and it was brown. We could not bathe him in that water. The next morning we bought bottled water to make coffee. (it's available in the drink machines) At check out we told the clerk what happened at check in and also

about the water and that they should either get a better filter or change it more often, we were told "that's just the way the water is."

The clerk said she would give us a discount. She then added $10 to our ticket and reduced it $20. We should have gotten a refund under these circumstances. I would never stay here again. (I had stayed here several times since it was built and had been satisfied in the past.)

UPDATE--I have been contacted by the management of this facility, and they have decided to refund the night. Beware though, there is no filter on the water there...They have informed me that there will be. Definitely use bottled water when staying.
