Great location
We really liked this Sheraton property. For not knowing anything about Honolulu, we felt lucky to secure this property. It was across the street from the Moana Surfrider (beautiful!!!!), which is on the beach. It was in close proximity to the beach, "The Bus" stop (great local transportation), world-famous Duke's, The International Market, a Food Pantry grocery store, ABC convenience store, KFC, Burger King, Roberts Hawaii (great tour operator!) pick up stop at the back of the Hyatt, and other major places in Waikiki. The airport and Pearl Harbor are about 10 miles from the Sheraton. Roberts Hawaii will take you to the airport for $9.00 each (with your luggage, one way), and they a Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City tour for $29.00 in addition to many other tours. They'll pick you up in front of the hotel. You won't be sorry. From reviews we booked a high ocean view (10th floor) and had a great view of Waikiki Beach. The Hyatt across the street blocked most of Diamond Head, but it was still a most beautiful view. The lobby area was very nice with fresh pineapple samples available daily around 2:00 p.m. Fresh plumeria flowers were available at the front desk every day for your hair. The pool area was off the lobby and it was always neat and clean. The lobby offered about 4 computers with 15 minutes of free internet at a time. If no one was waiting you could log on for another 15 minutes. Our room was nice with older furniture but adequate. There was a coffee maker on the desk and the safe appeared large enough to store a laptop on its side. The queen bed was very comfortable. The bath had nice toiletries and a hair dryer. A clothesline stretched from the back of the tub to the front to dry bathing suits/clothes. Large closet with ironing board and iron. Sliding doors to small balcony with 2 chairs for enjoying the view. The property did not have a Club Floor.
