Chic Hotel but needs some polishing up
I was in the Dominican for four nights and had a relatively comfortable stay while in the generously appointed hotel. The hotel is in a prime location in terms of sightseeing but a tight squeeze if there on business, luckily it was only a short walk from a train station and the staff was very helpful in terms of giving directions and getting around. It was under construction at the time therefore leaving the hotel was somewhat of a hassle as there was a lot of exterior work being done during my stay.
The interior though was marvelous and the room and the bed was especially comfortable. The breakfast was great but expensive at 27 Euro per meal. The room service was accommodating, pretty limited menu in terms of offerings, which was a let down.
The fitness facility was nonexistent with only two treadmills I did not feel the advert regarding their hotel warranted mentioning fitness at all. Plus the sauna was broken. I was expecting a much better outfitted fitness/health center.
Overall it was a great stay, worth paying a premium for but upgrades in their menu and fitness facility are needed if this hotel wants to take it to the next level.
