A beautiful hotel in a great ski location

This is a Mobil 4 star and AAA Five diamond hotel/Condo. It is a ski in ski out property. The rooms and condos are beautifully decorated. It has been recently remodeled and the Glitretind restaurant and the lounge have been enlarged. They have a wonderful skiers buffet in the winter and a buffet breakfast is included in the winter season with your room. and they have a fantastic year round Sunday brunch. the food is fantastic and they have won many awards fro their wine list. It is a full service resort with a spa. The spring and summer have great value rates. There is a free hotel shuttle to downtown Main St.

The views are wonderful and there is a courtyard with flowers and trees named like a botanical garden. YOu can hike from the hotel or mountain bike at Deer Valley. It is located at mid mountain Deer Valley and there is a chair lift right outside the door. There are outdoor decks at the bar and restaurant and a huge ballroom and conference center. The condos have a washer and dryer. It's a very friendly place to stay. I highly recommend it.

A good place to sleep

I have stayed there for the last 3 years, it is close to some rental car places and the airport. They have free airport shuttles and shuttles to the strip at the Tropicana at noon, 4 pm 8 pm and midnight on weekdays and every 2 hours on weekends. The rooms are no frills but clean, have a TV, refrigerator, hairdryer, shampoo and coffeemaker with coffee. 2 pools and a bar and small cafe. I only use it as a place to sleep and it is fine. During the week they are usually one of the cheapest places to stay. I felt safe. There is plenty of parking and I got travel reward points for staying there. I would stay there again if I needed was a place to sleep. It is pretty quiet during the week. I got to check in early and checkout is noon. Plenty of towels and face cloths.

Not too bad

I stayed there in early May 2007. I have stayed here for 3 years. It is merely a place to sleep. The rooms are ok, the bathroom was clean. Their is a shuttle to the Tropicana on the strip at noon, 4pm, 8pm and midnight weekdays, More often on weekends every 2 hours. They will shuttle you to and from the airport which is nice. Since this is a budget hotel do not expect the Ritz. They had shampoo, a hairdryer and fridge in the room. Also a coffee maker with coffee.

For $36 I didn't expect a fancy decorated room. I don't really care if they have nice art on the walls, it's just a place to sleep. I felt safe and had no trouble parking. Rental car places are nearby.

Inexpensive and clean

I just returned from Vegas and stayed at several hotels. I have stayed here 4 times in 2 years. It is a typical chain. The rooms were clean, no frills. Local calls are free and so are 800 calls. All the expensive Vegas hotels charge for calls so this was nice. The pool is tiny but I wasn't at the hotel much. The breakfast is nice- muffins, bagels, jelly and coffee and juice. They have a free computer in the office you can use and they will print your boarding passes for you. Very friendly staff. I got to check in a little early. This is an ok place to stay if you just need a place to sleep. Even though the area is a bit run down I always felt safe. you need a car to stay here, but there is a bus that goes down the strip.
