Great Business Hotel

What I loved about this hotel:

- Nice pool area with outdoor hammocks and funky cabana seating

- Lots of power outlets in the room

- Great bed - firm and a variety of pillows

- Easy parking

- All-inclusive Internet/phone plan for $9.95/day

- Prompt housekeeping service

- Airport check-in computer at front desk

What could have been better:

- Room service closes at 12am, so no late night snacks

- Concierge level lounge is closed all weekend

- Only one sink in the room and very little counter space for toiletries

This hotel is located in Mission Valley - not close to the touristy San Diego attractions. It is surrounded by businesses though, so it would be a great option for business travelers in the area. Also, there are tons of chain restaurants and big-box stores nearby (Target, Ross, Sears, etc.).

I didn't use this service, but I did notice that the hotel was offering a shuttle to the Chargers game on Sunday...

Apparently, they get a lot of guests in for football games...

Maui Wowie

This hotel was gorgeous - perhaps not as posh as the Four Seasons next door - but well-appointed. The grounds are beautiful. There is a swimming pool with a slide to another lower pool. Swim up bar.

One of the nicest aspects of this hotel is the number of restaurants and retail services onsite. This part of Maui is rather removed - you have to drive to reach restaurants and shops, etc. So it was nice to be able to find a deli/general store, wine shop, spa, salon, clothing shop, etc. all at the hotel.

I would say that the food is not *that good*. it's just not as tasty as a lot of places I've stayed in.

Also, this should probably go without saying, but everything here is really expensive!! Like $14 for a glass of wine, $18 for a sandwich, $200 for a 50-minute massage. Those prices aren't exact, but just be prepared to spend some cash eating, drinking and taking advantage of the amenities here.

A wonderful stay, friendly hotel

I recently visited this hotel for a 2 night stay. I was impressed from the very beginning of my stay when the concierge called my room to ask me how the check-in process went. Every request I had was taken care of, and with a smile.

There were several unexpected perks of staying here. Complimentary evening turndown came with free bottles of mineral water; great to come back to after a night out. Also, the high-speed Internet access was free. I needed to use the business center to print, and both Internet access and printing were complimentary.

The food at both the St Paul Grill, and the M St Cafe were great.

In general, the hotel is very well decorated and the rooms had traditional decor with nice details, like prints of historic homes in the area, instead of the generic hotel art you normally see.

The location is extremely convenient to businesses in the area, and is directly across the street from a nice park. Macy's is about a block away from the hotel, as is a Walgreen's - both nice places to have nearby when you're in town for a wedding (for those last-minute purchases).

If I ever have a reason to be back in St. Paul, I would most definitely stay here again.

No complaints!

I have no complaints about this hotel. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the room service I ordered on afternoon arrived within 15 minutes.

I can't say much for the location. There aren't any cool places around it. A mediocre hair salon across the street. A nail place nearby. Some shops, but it's not a "cute" neighborhood or anything like that.

In general, the hotel lacks ambiance. It is sort of cheesy, a little out of date.

We stayed here for a wedding and it was fine for that. But I wouldn't choose this hotel again on my own.

I am not likely to return to the Inn at Great Neck.
I might recommend it to friends.
