Don't give these people your money
As you would note from my ratings of this hotel, I didn't like the Victoria Thistle at all. I have stayed in a fair few hotels in my time, and I know how to tell good from bad. So I will give ten reasons why this place is skody.
Firstly: the hotel was overpriced - 170GBP for a single room when I stayed.
Secondly: the room was small.
Thirdly: the room was dirty.
Fourthly: the bathroom smelled bad.
Fifthly: the appliances (like the TV) were skody and old and you had to pay extra to watch the movie channel (even though the room was so expensive).
Sixthly: there was no aircon and it was in the middle of a London heat wave. It got very, very hot.
Seventhly: the maid came into the room and did the room up while I was sleeping on the bed shirtless (because it was so hot) recovering from jetlag. I had to tell her to leave.
Eighthly: Laundry charges were abominable. 3.80 GBP to wash a measly pair of socks. It's cheaper to buy them new.
Ninthly: the internet connection was relatively slow (at 10Mbps) and expensive (at 50p per minute = 30 GBP per hour).
Tenthly: Thistle hotels across London put their prices up directly following the 7/7 suicide bombings, as people were stuck in the city and needed to find a place to stay. This was a bad, greedy, and unhospitable thing to do.
