This is about what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. It’s nothing fancy, but has all the basics. They completely renovated the exterior of the place a few years ago but didn’t spend much on any interior upgrades. The room I stayed in could use some updating.

Pros: Its close to SFO, close to a great jogging trail along the bay, has free wireless internet and continental breakfast. Max’s Opera Café is next door where the food is good and they provide room service.

Cons: Because of its location near SFO, it’s a bit expensive for this class of hotel and the wireless internet signal is extremely weak, my connection constantly dropped.

This is actually a very nice hotel. It was completely renovated in the past couple of years. It’s very modern and comfortable. They have a great pool area, exercise room, and it’s close to a great jogging path along the bay. It’s also very close to SFO. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere and the food was quite good.

I did not like that they charged extra for parking and internet access, although many hotels in this area do the same.

I really liked this hotel, however, its located right next to the freeway and the traffic noise never seems to stop. If a quiet room is important to you, this may not be the place to stay.

This place was OK. The lobby and restaurant areas are in need of a makeover, but they have made an investment in upgrading the rooms, at least mine was. The room had a comfortable new bed, bedding, updated furnishings, a great work area with ergonomic chair, internet access and a personal fax/printer.

It’s conveniently located near SFO International Airport, with a great jogging path along the bay and a lighted driving range if you get the urge. There is a restaurant on property although I did not eat there. There are several other hotel restaurants within walking distance.

Main problem with this hotel is the same as most others in this area, you pay extra for parking and high speed internet access.

This hotel is consistently promoted as a 4 star hotel. No way! They’re totally taking advantage of the Sheraton label. It’s an old facility in desperate need of a renovation. My room had wallpaper peeling off, and there were cracks in the ceiling above the shower. They’ve spent some money recently on new bedding but have completely ignored the rest of the property. The staff seems that they could care less if you are there or not.

If you can find a rate for less than $100, this place is OK, given its convenient location. Otherwise, there are plenty of other decent hotels in the same area. Also, like other hotels in this area, they will charge you extra for parking and internet access. For a hotel in this condition those services should be free!
