It’s right on the strip, it’s in a perfect location. It’s clean, quiet, has nice rooms and a great staff. The price is right and all I can say is location, location, location. Anywhere else on the strip the price is fifty or more dollars more a night and the Imperial Palace is the best place to stay on the strip if you want something simple.

When you want just somewhere to lay your head, swim in a warm pool and have a sense of safety, then I would say stay at Motel 6 from February until March or even part of April. The motel is full most of the time with snow birds from the North. This keeps out the problem people.

I felt my car was safe, nightly police checks, quiet, nice room, plenty of channels on the TV, close to eating spots, close to the beach and the city of Venice, only one street down and over the intercoastal waterway. Not too far away from the golf courses. It’s not a bad place to stay.

I’ve been coming to Venice for six years in the winter and I always stay at Motel 6 in Venice. Their prices are a little high, but compared to every place else in Venice, this is the best bang for the buck.

I have always stayed at the Knights Inn over the years in Lake City, but I have heard some bad things about that place of late. I was looking to stay and play some golf in Lake City before going down to Venice and checked out the Hampton Inn in Lake City.

I was only going to stay one night, but the room was awesome, clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower had hot water, big towels, plenty of channels on the TV, a nice pool and it was very quiet. I stayed for four days and would recommend this motel to anyone. Plus the employees were all very nice and the breakfast was fantastic.

The price was a little expensive for northern Florida, but then again, Lake City was a small town and now it is up and coming very fast.
