Glitz and a roller coaster!

I'm not a gambler, nor am I into the whole, cheesy, glitzy Vegas scene. Went for a conference and it was amusing to experience it. The NY, NY is a good hotel, with good service and the usual Vegas over-priced on-site restaurants. The whole fake NY, NY thing is amusing but gets a little old after 5 days. Staff were helpful though when I discovered I had a broken toe and needed to find a medical facility.

Lovely old hotel, well maintained

I stayed here for three nights and I really liked the historic aspect of the hotel. The Marriott has done an excellent job maintaining the property, too bad the pool was closed, though.

It’s in a great location, near Florida shopping and across from San Martin Plaza. The only watch-out is crime, I saw a man have his Rolex ripped right off his arm (why were you wearing it, sir?) and security seemed to be kept quite busy policing the entrance area.

An excellent value

This hotel is located a short walk from the Sliema ferry area of the waterfront. They have excellent service, and a quiet location. Many hotels are right on the waterfront, they have great views but in busier, noisier sections. This hotel provides excellent service, with a very friendly, and helpful staff. I was on a breakfast included plan, the buffet was excellent with a good variety of options. Although it’s close to the waterfront in two different directions, it is on a hill. It shouldn't be a problem for most folks, but it’s something to consider.

I am very likely to return to the Victoria Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Fun spot for a short stay

Fun stay. I knew the hotel was located right on Fleet Street/Temple Bar so expected to be in a lively place. I enjoyed watching the youngun's goings-on from my 3rd floor window and it was quiet enough when I almost-closed the window. The location is ideal--short walk to Temple University, Grafton Street.

Furnishings were a little worn but adequate. It did seem like quite a bit of $ but I found lodging very high overall in Dublin.

I would recommend this hotel if you like a lively scene and don't mind paying the fee. Likely difficult to find a really reasonable rate at a decent place in Dublin.

Great bar too.

I am somewhat likely to return to the The Morgan .
I might recommend it to friends.
