Good Location for Denver International

New Sleep Inn well thought out compact room with shower and no tub. This facility contains an indoor pool, internet access, refrigerator/microwave in some rooms. Sleep Inn serves a continental breakfast which I did not experience but the serving area was clean, modern and well located. The shuttle service was accommodating and located close to Denver International. The elevators are slow for only a two story lodge. I would recommend staying at this lodge. When making reservations request a first floor room with microwave/refrigerator. The front desk appeared stress throughout stay and could have been friendlier.

Good Location

Good location, nice room with refrigerator/microwave combo. I stayed on the first floor and you could hear the second floor movement clearly, especially with small children. This lodge has a small indoor pool. Friendly desk staff especially “Chuck” who works third shift. He was conscientious and attempted to accommodate the clientele’s requests to the best of his ability.

The laundry facilities were inadequate and in need of maintenance. There was a permanently parked camper that was at this facility directly outside. A semi cab was parked at the other end of the lodge directly by the entry taking four stalls for three days. The curb appeal and the maintenance outside needs to be improved at this Econolodge. I would recommend staying at this location even with its shortcomings.

Dated

Durango is one of my favorite cities to visit in the United States. This Econolodge: no refrigerator in room, no pool, sink missing handle, noisy location on Main Street with a funky heating system. Friendly desk staff. The sink handle was broken. The heating and cooling system is funky with rules posted.

I can not recommend staying at this location.

Recently renovated

Older, renovated, meticulously cleaned. Swimming pool is in need of renovation. Breakfast was something you put in the toaster and placed syrup on. The day I stayed there was no syrup. How would you like to have a waffle without syrup? No cereal or rolls.

Contractors had reserved many rooms where their employees were staying while working in the area. I would recommend staying here because of the renovation and the cleanliness. This is typically not a cheap area to stay in with the only attraction being Mesa Verde. My opinion is, see Mesa Verde and move on to your next destination.
