A great place to stay in Rochester
If you have to stay in Rochester for any reason, this is the place to stay. It’s clean, modern, and has well appointed large rooms. It’s located across from St Mary's/Mayo Hospital. It’s a five minute drive to the Mayo Clinic and downtown. It has plenty of economical places to eat close by, the Cafe Presto gets an honorable mention. For cheap good food, I highly recommend the Sulvaki, they deliver free with no minimum.
The only three complaints I have are: The elevators. They are slow, so slow I could run outside, take the stairs and be standing there for at least 30 seconds before the elevator reached the fourth floor my room was on.
They don't refill their 'complimentary' coffee containers, I guess that's why it's complimentary.
The "business center" is always busy with people not doing business. I had to wait for five minutes for someone to quit playing solitaire just to print a document that took 30 seconds. They should limit use by non-business customers or limit their access.
Note: I did not use the room service, hotel restaurant, or bar. It was hard to get an early check-in.
