Has a nice facade, but an old interior

This hostel is really not bad. Other than my freak incident of paying $130 plus for a room on New Year's Eve, the rooms are really cheap! Go for a dorm room and you pay only $15 a night!

The lobby is nicely furnished and the elevator is really quaint, too. And the staff has installed lockers in the basement for you to store your luggage if you need it.

The rooms are really old and the bathrooms really tiny. But for what you're paying, don't complain. There's no free internet, but you can tap the wireless connections around the neighborhood.

The good thing about the hostel is its location. It's just two blocks away from a subway station, and there's lots of food places around, too.

Not cheap, but really good

I got this off Priceline.com and it's not that cheap. At about $40 plus a night, it's definitely more costly than other hostels. However, I liked the fact that it's so close to downtown Boston. I could walk to Boston Commons and begin the Freedom Trail in about 15 minutes or less! It's really near the "T" as well. So commuting wasn't a problem at all.

The room was nice and clean. And though I had to share a common bathroom, that was well maintained, too. The building was old, so things inside were old too, but the staff does put in a lot of effort in decorating the place.

There's no free internet though, you need to pay. But lots of facilities are available: pool table, books, some exercise equipment, lounges, etc.

Most importantly, breakfast is included. And it's a really good breakfast. You get to have bread, cereal, fruits, juice and coffee/tea/hot chocolate and eggs ordered to cook! It’s a really nice feeling to wake up to.

And the staff is really friendly and helpful, too! That's a big plus!

A very nice hotel

I got this off Priceline.com and it didn't come that cheap, but I think it's worth the money.

First, the location was good. I was about 10 minutes walk away from the Niagara Falls. And that makes frequent visits really convenient.

Second, I got a really big room with two Queen size beds!

Third, there was free wireless in the lobby. That's really useful considering I needed to update myself with school stuff.

I stayed here for quite a few nights, entertaining myself with the crazy cartoons they show on Cartoon Network.

The only problem I faced was food. It was just after Christmas and so many things were still closed! Lucky for me, a short walk across the US/Canadian borders gave me access to more food options.

An interesting place to stay

Now I've put up in hostels. But this one was really liberal! I mean, it allows mixed gender sharing rooms, smoking all over, and it even sells cheap beer! But the people here were nice and friendly. And there was free wireless internet along the hallway. So I really thought the place was not bad.

The bed was a little less comfortable than I would like it to be though, but it's really a decent price, you're paying for what you get.

And breakfast is included: all the pancakes you can eat, you've to cook them on your own though.
