Resort accomodations; signature service

While the rooms were stuffy they were clean. What we loved were the variety of amenities on-site.

The massage was just OK which was not OK for what they charge.

My kids (and husband) love the buffet. Kids also can enjoy the boat ride around the lagoon. Nice for awhile but after 5 trips around...it's time for the pool.

Like a lot of the resorts in the desert they offer poolside evening movies which is nice for the kids.

It's a big and, at times, busy hotel/resort. We'll likely stay again but we like it a bit more quite.

Family fun in the sun

The rooms are blah to moderately good. There is a main building that seems to have been updated recently and an adjacent building that is "blah". I really disliked the room we had on the "adjacent" building but liked our room in the main building. When in the adjacent building I felt the need to ensure my kids and I wore flip flops all around (no bare feet in the bathroom). The main building, again, was much better.

Promixity to the beach is why we stayed here and it is awesome. Literally walk out of your room onto the beach. The beach recreational activities are great. We choose simple activities but they have most everything you can think of right there.

Sticking w/proximity...there is a great long pier just down from the hotel that is great to stroll along w/kids. We have fun fishing and watching the old timers catch fish.

The hotel does allow pets in a few of their ground level rooms which is a + for us. The complimentary breakfast is actually quite good (compared to others on this nature) as well.

We will go back but will only stay in the main building.

Amazing service

We were fortunate enough to receive a gift certificate to this place or we may never have found it.

Even better, the new owners honored a gift certificate that was over 8 years old (and this was just before the new gift certificate law was in place). They easily could have turned us down but they didn't.

The Inn is decorated in warm comfortable tones and the artwork makes you feel very reflective. In fact, they have a full gallery right there.

We loved the scones and muffins. Our room was well appointed and it had all the amenities of a large hotel wrapped up into a quaint Inn. We are typically not B&B style people, this wasn't B&B but had the same air of one. We were very pleasantly surprised.

Amazing grounds

High marks for this place. Mendocino is not a fast paced place. You are fortunately forced to wind down and are forced to do it in some amazingly beautiful country.

The Inn is rustic, charming and very well appointed. The grounds are stunning and they have a special garden that draws in crowds.

We loved the easy access trails and the key fact that they allow dogs. This place has it all for us with the rustic comfort being a big part of it.

We like it not just for what the Inn has to offer but the locale of the Inn and the great time we had there. The staff is attentive but not intrusive and they seem to really like dogs and made sure we knew of the local hot spots as well as places to avoid.

Two thumbs up!
