A work in progres??
Apparently, the love of chic interior design has clouded Hyatt Place's common sense. Beautiful furniture, but not a bottle of water to be had anywhere, at 11 pm on a Saturday night. No vending machines. The 24/7 "Gallery Kitchen" and all the other things they talk about in the website and even in the in-room brochures is a something they PLAN to do ("in a couple of weeks" I am told, ) but does not currently exist. At $250 a night, they could do much better. I was told to get a beverage, I would have to walk down to a gas station, on this unfamiliar busy Ft. Lauderdale street-- is it even a safe neighborhood to do so?? I don't know. So, if I do want to enjoy a cold coke on the beautiful leather furniture in the lobby of the hotel they say was designed for "me", I have to walk down to a gas station???? This is absolutely unacceptable. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??? If I were the hotel manager of a place touting itself as super-chic and super-client friendly, I would bring by own soft drinks and have them at the desk.
Yes, the furniture is beautiful. The High Def in the room is great. But put your clients' very basic needs just a little higher on the list of priorities, please.
