It was just excellent!

We came into town on very short notice and were able to get a room. Their reservation process was simple and efficient.

The hotel itself seems to be very new and is very well maintained. They have an indoor elevator that works very well and an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. They even had a box full of rags waiting at the front door for their guests that need to wipe down their boots and motorcycles.

Our room was very clean and well appointed with very nice amenities, they had a micro-fridge setup, mints at the desk, a nice TV, shapoo and all the bathroom needs one would want, and an excellent shower head in the shower.

The breakfast was absolutely excellent, they had everything anyone could want, fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs, french toast, coffee, tea, milk, juice, and more.

The entire hotel was very clean and the staff was even able to make excellent recommendations for dinner, which we enjoyed very much.

Jackson is a very nice place to visit, and this hotel exemplified everything we loved about our stay.

We really liked it here

We stayed here during Memorial Day on a visit to wine country. We weren’t looking for anything fancy, just a good place to stay during our visit.

This TraveLodge was very nice, and very well kept up. Reservations were easy to make, and checking in and out was hassle-free. The desk clerks were nice and all the amenities one would expect for a hotel of this standard were just right.

The room was not huge, but not small either, it was very clean, in fact, I even looked for mold in the shower and bathroom area, and there was absolutely none whatsoever. Everything seemed to be fairly new, even the shower curtain still had some folds in it from when it was unpacked.

There was one odd item, the breakfast area was just past the hot tub, so one had to go into the hot tub room to get into the breakfast nook. But beyond that, the continental breakfast was very simple, juice, coffee, teas, cereal, milk, fruit, and Danishes, but it was just fine for us.

There was good parking and the lot itself looked well maintained. It’s located right off of the highway, so it’s very conveniently located, and since it’s in Healdsburg, three’s not a lot of noise, Healdsburg seems to populated with the most polite people anywhere.

Our only issues was with the price, although it was competitively priced along the other hotels in the area, because it was Memorial Day, it was little on the steep side, but we needed a place to stay, and it was definitely a good hotel.

Really nice for the price!

We stayed here for two nights and found the Munras Lodge to be a very nice place to stay.

The reservations were simple, and the office staff was very helpful. The maids did a very good job at cleaning and were willing to accommodate us when we asked them clean the room at a later time. When they cleaned, they did an excellent job.

We asked the staff for an extra towel and pillow at one point and they were waiting for us in the office when I went to go pick them up.

The room itself was spacious, but not very luxurious. It’s an older hotel and could use an upgrade, but for our purposes it was more than sufficient. We were in town for a wedding and were not going to spending a large amount of time in our room. The bathroom had all the amenities one would expect, shampoo, soap, a hair dryer, coffee, and the room also had a micro-fridge.

They had high speed internet access in all the rooms, and when we connected, it was a breeze.

The room also had a nice little gas fireplace, while although it wasn’t fantastic, it was a nice little touch to have one.

They have a really huge hot tub, but when we visited, it was being renovated with new tiles, and it was closed. If you really want a place with a hot tub, you may want to call and ask if they have re-opened the hot tub yet.

They serve a continental breakfast in the morning, complete with a self service Belgian waffle maker. They don’t have a huge selection of items, but if you just want to eat something on the go, it’s not bad. There’s a fast food establishment just down the block if you want something a little more substantial, but otherwise it, was OK.

We had a very nice stay, and the price was very good, considering how much is being charged locally for other hotels. It’s not far from anywhere in Monterey, but since Monterey is a relatively small place, it’s hard to find a bad location here.

A very decent place to stay

This hotel seems to have once been condos that have been renovated into a hotel. That being said, it was a very nice place to stay in.

Our room was very clean and had all the expected amenities, TV, micro-fridge, DVD player, coffee maker, etc. The room was spacious and we even had a very nice balcony to enjoy the view. It's located in a very quiet part of Pacific Grove, yet still close to town.

They offer a pretty good breakfast, pastries, bagels, cereal juice, etc. The staff was very nice and accommodating with small requests and the like. They also have DVD's you can borrow if you want to watch them in your room.

One thing though: My wife has mobility issues and has trouble going up and down stairs. All the rooms (except two) have some kind of stairs to navigate, and we had a room on the third floor, so we endured lots of stairs. If we had known that ahead of time, we would have requested a room closer to the ground floor.

They do have two disabled accessible rooms, so if you are confined to a wheelchair or have mobility issues, be sure to ask about one of those rooms.

Other than that, it was a great stay, we even saw deer right next to the hotel on our way back in one night!

I am very likely to return to the Howard Johnson Express Inn Pacific Grove.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
