Hilton Honors Reqests Not?

The Hampton Inn Milford, CT is just a short drive from exit 36 off of I 95.

We are Hilton Honors members and our preference is a higher floor, king bed, away from the elevator and vending.

When I entered the very nice looking lobby around two thirty the ladies where chatting at the front desk, about a minute past and one looked up and I presented my HH card and told her we were checking in. She assigned us 152 however it was not ready and we were given 113. The difference is 152 faces the parking lot and 113 is on the I 95 side. Being a country boy it did not occur to me how noisy the traffic would be throughout the night. If you can tolerate loud traffic noise this very small room would be fine. If not get one facing the parking lot.

The bed was a double, the room was clean and tidy. We are small people and it was cozy. The 27 inch TV worked fine the bathroom was fair about one tub length with a sink in the corner. Not much room to lay out your stuff. They serve the usual Hampton "free" breakfast. I did not sleep very well and let them know it, they deducted ten dollars from my $70.00 bill.

So much for the HH requests but we where not near the elevator or ice and vending. There is some pretty good shopping down route 1 and many good places to eat.

There are many motels along 95 and if you can find another one at a similar price with a better review I would try it out.

Wyndham Burlington Construction

This Wyndham, a three star hotel, was a Radisson that we visited every summer for many years. It’s location on Battery street is in an excellent location and is in walking distance to many attractions. This was my first time back and my wife's third. They renovated many of the rooms two years ago, but our room was small, worn and the bathroom was tiny. The sheets were thin and the bed was ordinary. The TV is an older 27", the shower rods are curved for more room in the shower. Drive to the 3rd level for parking close to the entrance. Parking is $5.50 per night with in and out privileges. The hotel was very busy with a business meeting and we were told that many times. The pool area is adequate and there is a large Jacuzzi next to it. The exercise room is small with a few pieces of equipment and poor ventilation. Construction was going on and the city view was noisy. We were awakened at 7am by construction noise. Check when you book to see what side of the building you will be on.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hilton Burlington.
I might recommend it to friends.
