Yavapai Lodge is Grand Canyon National Park Lodges' largest facility that is nestled within the pinyin and juniper woodlands, about 1/4-mile from the rim and AIR CONDITIONED rooms. (This is the only lodging facility besides the El Tovar with central air conditioning in the EAST rooms only.) The rooms have either one king or two queen sized beds, refrigerator, coffee maker and a modem port. With modern newly renovated rooms and many services within walking distance, this is a convenient place for families. The lodge is located next to the Market Plaza, which includes a general store, bank, US Post Office and the National Park Service Visitor Center is short (approximately ½- mile) walk. Yavapai Lodge features a cafeteria that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The curio shop has a wide range of gifts and a transportation / activities desk is located in the lobby. All rooms have a television, telephone, and full baths. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available. Yavapai Lodge is normally open March through November and during winter holiday periods.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Grand Canyon railway package. It really was nothing special. There were some disgusting looking stains on the wall near the bed.
