We stayed at this hotel as part of a Grand Canyon railway package. It really was nothing special. There were some disgusting looking stains on the wall near the bed. The bathroom was too small for a family of five. Beds were uncomfortable, and the mattress cover kept moving while we tried to sleep, revealing a stained-looking mattress. Check-in took a while. The man at the desk didn't know what we were supposed to do with our luggage for the train. Food at the cafeteria was ok at best, way overpriced. The one redeeming quality was its location to the shuttle buses.

Being inside the Grand Canyon National Park, the proximity to the Canyon, and all it offers was great. It’s a fairly good value as well.

It was convenient to all park amenities and therefore eliminated the use of our car during our stay at the Canyon.

The hotel was adequate, nothing special. There was little noise and the place was restful. It was way expensive for the age and accommodations.

I liked the fact that it was very close to the Canyon. My advice for travelers is to pack in layers because if you're coming from warm weather, it can get very chilly with the higher altitude. The service is great, with a cafeteria-like lunchroom to
