This was the worse hotel I have stayed in in a while. The majority of the staff was unhelpful at best. The manager was a boor. I brought a service animal with me after calling and asking about service animal accomodations. When I went to check out, the manager tried to fine me for having a pet. I explained that this was not a pet, but a service animal and that I had gotten advanced permission to bring him. He told me that he still had to have the room cleaned and would charge me the pet fee. When I called the corporate office, they took the fee off, but the manager switched his story from having to charge to clean the room to the comforter had beeing destroyed. At least the corportate office still took the fine off, but DO NOT take SERVICE ANIMALS here.
The property is tired. Odd: no electrical outlets except in the bathroom? Odd location sharing a parking lot with commercial retail space right behind it. Front desk and administrative staff not very friendly, helpful or cooperative. That made my view of the property go from "OK" to not so good and not to be recommended without reservation. The are too many competing properties in that location to not treat the customers better. Making sure that everyone who works there speaks at least moderate English would also be helpful as well.
I am not likely
to return to the Yarrow Resort Hotel & Conference Center.
I might recommend it to friends.
Loved the location.Front desk staff helpful and courteous. Could not check in early. Rooms small, but clean. Kitchenette okay, stocked with basics only. Okay for cooking simple meals. Beds a little too soft for some. Main problem was that the air conditioner was right next to one of the beds and it blows so strong and right into the face of the person sleeping in that bed and it was very difficult to regulate.

Horrible
We made our reservations 3 months in advance, making certain we had a room with two beds, checking it twice, no hide-a-beds. I called the week before to make certain our reservations were still good, and double checked on the beds again. When we...

Excellent
I liked the down comforter queen beds. The key wouldn't unlock the door for a few minutes. The Yarrow was a comfortable hotel. The front lobby was beautiful and the staff responded quickly to my needs.

I learned a valuable lesson: don't trust that people are honest. I tried to make a reservation with the hotel and found the process extremely frustrating, it took three seperate phone calls to get someone who could book for a group. Whwn I did finally get someone who could make the reservation they made the reservation for more nights than what I had told them. They did not tell me of this on the phone and then when they sent the reservation confirmation email I did not read it I only opened it to look for the confirmation number on the date of my arrival. When I arrived at the hotel they could not find my reservation becuase they claimed that I had made it for the night before and then they had marked me as a no show cancellation. I told them that this was not the case that the reservation that I made was for the night I arrived, but they would possibly review it but to look carefully when I checked out. When I checked out it had not been reviewed nor credited. I spent 1/2 and hour trying to work it out, but was unable before I left. They did nothing to compensate when they emailed me 2 days later with their determination.

Okay
Location.Staff, was non-existent and could barely speak English. Room and bed were comfortable and fairly clean. Several staff problems and amenities like the hair dryer etc didn't work. This is sold as a 4 star, which it was probably top notch in...
