Excellent
This is not a chain hotel. I was very impress with the professional staff and mgmnt. I have travel to many hotels and never have I ever saw such cleanliness. For that reason alone I will rate this hotel an 11 out of 10. The staff was helpful and...
After my flight was cancelled on August 8th, 2007, Delta put me up at the Wynstar Inn and Suites in Fort Meyers, Florida. I am shocked that this motel self-described themselves as "brand new" and also having a "smoke free ambience of class and beauty". The rooms were so dirty that I was scared to get under the covers and ended up laying my dirty clothes on the bed and sleeping on top of them. Giant Ants were crawling all over the bathroom and on the carpet. I am not sure what was brand new about the place... I was rebooked on a 12:30 flight the next day but after seeing the state of the rooms at the Wynstar, I checked out at 7:00 am and spent the day waiting in the airport.

Okay
This hotel is not a chain. It is run very efficiently and has a good shuttle service to airport. Good place to stay when you are flying out early in the morning. Only restaurant within walking distance was Cracker Barrel and it was very poor.

Good
This is a great hotel. A little pricey but very close to the airport and has a shuttle beginning at 4AM. Only down side was a spotlight that was shining directly at our window so looked like daylight all night without curtains drawn.

The hotel was cleaned, and our room was cleaned each day, despite the fact that we're late risers and often didn't leave until noon-ish (just make sure to put the sign on 'service requested'). They had free wireless internet throughout the hotel and a computer in the lobby for public use (with internet) that also has a printer you can use to print your boarding passes for a return trip.
Our minimal interaction with the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was nice. The location was very convenient to the airport (less than 5 minute) but never did we hear any plane noise. And its a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the busy areas of Ft. Myers (though no more than a 10-30 minute drive from anything) if that's what you like.
Being late risers, we never got to take advantage of the breakfast, oh well.
Overall, its a perfectly nice place, we had no complaints, and its a good price, and recommended.
