We have just returned from a brief stay in Las Vegas as part of a larger trip. The Wynn is absolutely amazing, when we arrived on the property we were amazed at the sheer beauty of the hotel and entire resort. As soon as we arrived, the bellman was right there waiting for us and took our luggage right away and gave us a claim check. After giving our luggage to the bellman we had went to check in, as soon as we entered the doors I was astonished with the detail and quality of everything from the door handles to the desks, artwork, and well, everything. We quickly checked in and went up to our room in the Tower Suites and had our baggage promptly delivered about five minutes later. The bellman also gave us a tour of the room and mentioned highlights of the resort.
For those who have never stayed at the Wynn, there are three distinct areas to stay. The first being the "Resort" area (the least expensive part of the hotel) consisting of the resort and panoramic view rooms, following this are the "Tower Suites" that house all of the suites, and thirdly the "Villas" which offer full villas that range from around 1000 to 9000+ square feet for the ultra sophisticated. We stayed in the Tower Suites. The Tower Suites offer a private entrance, private elevators and a private check-in desk away from the busy main entrance, this itself is worth the difference in room rates. Further benefits to staying in the tower suites, are that the rooms are absolutely 100% more gorgeous (which is hard to imagine), upgraded amenities, two private pools for tower suites guests only (although you can always go to the other pool if you'd like, but no one from the resort area are allowed to enter the private Tower Suites pools), priority reservations and seating in the restaurants including VIP lines for the Buffet etc. We only stayed two nights so we didn't get much chance to visit all that many of the restaurants but for a casual dining atmosphere, "Red 8" is an amazing modern Chinese restaurant which offers absolutely the most delicious food and impeccable service. The second night we ate at "The Buffet" as we were hungry and needed to get in and out fast so we could get to our show "Le Reve". The buffet line-up was quite long, thankfully there is a VIP line for Tower Suites Guests, which saved us a good half an hour extra wait, the buffet offers a vast array of food choices from seafood, to Italian, to Asian and more, the service was great and the food was acceptable (not amazing however) but for the nearly $75 for both of us, it was not nearly the quality as I was hoping, but we had a good time none the less. After the buffet we went to "Le Reve" which was created by Franco Dragone, who has contributed to many "Cirque du Soleil" shows. When I had first booked the show I was not all that excited however my fiancée was ecstatic. However, let me tell you, it was worth every penny, and I would pay triple the price to see it again if I had to. The show was absolutely phenomenal.
Overall the Wynn was absolutely amazing. It is a beautiful property with the utmost impeccable service and great food to complement it all. By the time check-out came, neither of us wanted to leave the beautiful resort. When we return to Las Vegas again, I would not even consider staying at another hotel. The Wynn is by far the only resort that you ever need to stay in.
This hotel isn't for those afraid to pay for luxury.
