I stayed at the Wyndham Orlando Resort and on May 17, 2008, are room was burglarized. We had a room close to the pool on the ground floor. Two of us left the room to go out and the other three left later. Someone was watching us to know we all were gone. A personal laptop, 2 digital cameras, credit cards, money, clothes, and several more valuables were stolen. They took one of my friends suitcase we think to haul everything out of the room. The hotel security guard did not want to notify outside law enforcement, but we did. The night manager was alerted and took approximately 45 minutes to get to our room. He said they were really busy at the front desk. I spoke with the hotel manager and he said it would be turned over to the hotel's insurance agency. I found out later he did not turn it over to the insurance agency. He did not turn it in because he said the insurance company wouldn't do a thing. Management was horrible. I cannot stress enough that you do not want to stay at this hotel and become another victim. It ruined the trip we so long awaited for. There are things you read on Trip Advisor that you can overlook, but I am not joking about this matter. Please take the time to read the last reviews starting with March 2008. We all could have wrote the same review and just changed are screen name. Evidently, the hotel has done nothing to protect their guests. They are aware of the break ins and the hotel has neglected to install cameras in the hallways or outside of each building. It has got to be the same person who is doing this. I am writing this review so you will not become the next VICTIM. I care even if the Wyndham Orlando Resort doesn't.
PLEASE STAY AWAY!
