Wyndham Orlando Resort run away now look elsewhere - HORRIBLE Experience
June 2008
For sure DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY and especially not your wife for heaven's sake.
This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The dirt and the smell were the worst things. The smell just knocks you over when you enter the room.
Reading the description and looking at the pictures on the hotel web page, you would think the hotel was not that bad. Its a complete fabrication. Even the hotel staff admitted as much.
Don't let any of the pictures fool you. Don't send your convention business there, don't send your employees there to stay.
The web site pictures did not represent the absolute horrible state this property is in.
Upon our arrival we were given a room out of the 1970s with cracks in the walls, a dirty room, and a dirty bathroom. Evidently, the hotel is from around 1978 and has NEVER been renovated.
When I asked to be moved to a newer room, we were given a smaller room in another part of the property just as old and just as disgusting.
Also, the hotel is located in a rundown part of the city.
If you want Internet access, there is NO wireless and they will charge for $10 for a network cable if you forget yours. You will have to plug into a phone to get a slow wired connection and even then, it will cost you around $10 a day for the privilege.
We could only stand two nights and had to check out to move to a better hotel. There are MUCH, MUCH better hotels nearby for the same or a bit more. You will get much more for your money elsewhere. You can move five miles away and have a much better experience. Look over near Sea World for better hotels. I would tell you the place we moved, but I am afraid they would think this review was biased or something to a particular chain.
