I found a palmetto bug on my pillow.

This hotel made me feel content: It was a very nice hotel with a lot of amenities.

I am very likely to return to the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I liked the resort style lobby, the grounds and the restaurant. But it had motel style rooms, old, dark and dirty. We were bitten by some sort of insect that burrowed under skin. The hotel was close to attractions.

I am not likely to return to the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Before going to stay at the Wyndham I was worried sick by some of the reviews I had read on this site telling me how bad this hotel was supposed to be!

My what planet are you people on?

I, my family and a few friends have just spent the most fantastic 2 weeks ever in this supposed hole!

The room was a bit 70's in decor true, but it was spotless and meticulously cleaned every day. The staff were fantastic, polite, helpful and made me believe that my holiday was very important to each and every one of them. On my arrival I reported a problem with the air conditioning unit in the room. Despite the time of day a maintenance man was dispatched instantly and the problem solved to MY satisfaction within a short period.

There are 3 pools and a Jacuzzi at the resort all of which are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness. There is a concierge service at the rear pool which gives out all manner of pool toys, towels, books, fresh fruit etc etc etc and at NO COST!

At the Gatorville bar, you can get fantastic food from some real nice staff (especially Ryan the girls tell me!), at prices no higher than anywhere else. I wont even go into the 2 coffee shops, gift shop and fitness suite! All of this right in the middle of I Drive, not that you would know it when you are relaxing at the pool!

Lets sum up - Against the Wyndham - the room decor is a bit 70's

For the Wyndham - Staff, Grub, Cleanliness, Price, fantastic facilities and the location is perfect.

Our stay at wyndham resort was horrible we will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Our rental car was vandalized personal items . our tom tom navigator was stolen at our loss the hotel stated they were not responsible for damages or theft in their parking lots they considered them public property. the parking lots had been vandalized six times within the last month before ours was . there are no security cameras on site for your protection. I asked why dont you have the cameras. the reply was because we donot have to.

the hotel itself needs so much repair in their rooms everything is old and outdated electrical outlets are unsafe looking. the pools are dirty, they have a pool attendant who knew someone had been sick in the pool but never said anything when we went into the pool to discover human waste.

floating around in the pool. disgusting that is all I can say about this hotel

we do not advise you to stay here.

For the price, we found this resort to be perfect for our needs, and conveniently located. While the room was average, it was clean. We spent most of our time at Disney or elsewhere anyway, so the room didn't matter that much. (We did buy a scented candle to diffuse the cigarette smell, though - we forgot to ask for a non-smoking room). What we loved were the beautiful grounds, fitness center, and many pools, with amenities such as free sun screen, chilled towels, magazines, etc. We found the staff consistently friendly and courteous. Restaurant and cafe food was above average, especially at the omelet station. We had complimentary tropical smoothies every morning at breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

It's The Little Things That Count. This place is huge! The rooms are in many separate buildings spread over 48 acres. If you're on the back side, a walk to the lobby is more like a hike across town. But, if you call the front desk, they will send a golf cart. They have a fleet of golf carts to haul you around the property, if you want. But, then, you're always tipping the driver. You might as well rent a mo-ped. The front desk was friendly and efficient. The staff was always helpful. They deserve credit for that. There are several restaurant choices nearby, from fast food to family style restaurants, and one or two nicer places. Lots of shopping within walking distance. Just a short drive/ride to Universal Park or the convention center. There are many hotels much closer to the convention center, however. One of my main gripes is that I didn't feel that the room was a clean as it should have been. Cleanliness is an important detail. The floor wasn't clean. There was hair and dirt on the floor between the two double beds. I didn't like that. The A/C unit was a bit noisy and the room always felt damp. I showered in the morning, threw the towel over the shower curtain rod to dry, but that night, the towel was still damp. Usually, the A/C will take the humidity out of the air. But, as I said, the room always felt damp, though plenty cool. I found the climate outside better than the air inside. Your mileage may vary. These days, internet access is an expected amenity... like cable TV. The Wyndham charges $10 per day for high-speed internet. If I never stay there again, it will be for that reason, more than anything else. I'd rather give up a few channel choices on the TV and have free internet access. Internet isn't a luxury anymore, it's a necessity. When you pay a premium price for a room, you should get free internet, just like TV. Period. Ten bucks a day is a rip for internet is a rip.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.

When turning down the bed, a used syringe fell out! I hate to think what would have happened had I been stuck. I can't understand how housekeeping didn't notice that. After the syringe was removed, housekeeping was called to change the sheets. After waiting 1-1/2 hours for them to show up, we called the front desk to see what the hold up was. I was told they did show up but we turned them away! UGH! Obviously they went to the wrong room. Anyway, by this time at night, housekeeping was now gone, so we had to wait almost another hour for someone from maintenance (what the call "engineering") to bring fresh sheets. Other problems: The cable television had two colors...blue and green and the pay services for the television failed to work as well. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept in a month, and when it was, it was obviously swept under the bed. We changed rooms the next day. The next room had a disgusting floor also, the front door had a 3/4" gap that insects readily took advantage of (glad I had extra towels to stuff under the door) and the sheets didn't fit the bed... I let this slide this time after the previous nights "sheet caper". The television services in the new room failed to work also. Initially, I thought this would be a great stay because the grounds are really nice. The restaurants on the property are pretty good as well. In a nut shell, my opinion would be to stay somewhere else, you don't need the hassle...oh, by the way, don't fall for the discounted ticket scam to the parks, unless you have several hours of your life to spare fighting off the folks trying to sell you a time share. If you decide to do this, make sure you read and understand all the rules that apply or you may lose you tickets like several people did.

I wish that I could give this hotel a zero rating because the stay was horrible. Our room always smelt of smoke, housekeeping would arrive really late to clean the room and then do a poor job of cleaning it, room service was horrible, when we asked for towels, it took them 4-5 hours to get towels to our room, and when we asked for some extra pillows we never saw them until the next day when I called back for the third time. The people at the front who sell you tickets ripped us off by giving us false coupons to use at Planet Hollywood and then charging us a lot more for a shuttle than it actually was. All in all, the hotel was miserable I would not recommend this for anyone.

The location was excellent, but a rental car was needed to get to popular destinations. The suite was much better than we expected. The access to a washer and a dryer was very convenient. The hotel staff was very professional and personable.

This hotel made me feel content: The setup of the suite was wonderful. The availability of the full kitchen and the bath was very convenient. The spa tub was very relaxing and invigorating. As we traveled as a family with two small children, the space in the suite was very comfortable and convenient.

I am very likely to return to the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.

The location was farther from Disneyland they advertised. The room was fine, check in was nice and very fast. They had the advanced room feature with sodas ready when we arrived. The pool was crowded with lots of towels. They were putting up some kind of tent in the parking lot, so parking was a little more crowded. The grounds were nice. The hotel restaurant food quality was not up to par, but it was not horrible either. Overall, it was a good hotel and I would stay there again. The tour desk was great. This is a good hotel for people not wanting to have to put up with the crowds.

I am very likely to return to the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I liked the bar and the restaurant. The chef and the bartenders were wonderful. The restaurant hostesses were friendly and attentive. The room was air conditioned on arrival. I disliked the check out wait and the time it took to correctly itemize my bill.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The bar and the choice of beers on tap were good.

The room was small and smelled like smoke. The shower would not drain. There were holes in the sheets. The light bulb burnt out and was never replaced. The room felt dirty and the spread out motel style felt very unsafe. After repeatedly asking for assistance, no one ever came to the room.
