If you are staying only one-night to go to a football game or a concert, this is a barely acceptable hotel. If you are staying for more than one night — or if you’re hosting a conference – consider somewhere else. This property is a Wyndham hotel in name only.
Pros: Clean comfortable room and bed. Parking valets friendly/attentive. Great location - river water taxis and nice restaurants (Morton’s & Charthouse) in close walking distance. There is a standard hotel safe in the room. Free 800K Wireless. There is a small yet acceptable exercise room and pool. Hotel restaurant is overpriced but the service is great.
Cons: Front desk staff not friendly/attentive. No hotel shuttle available to/from the airport. No free hotel parking available (you pay $10 a day, $12 valet). Motel sized bathroom and shower. No room service except for a small door-hanger breakfast menu. Hotel business center is a joke. Its a phone booth sized room with one PC and laser-printer – plan on waiting. The housekeeping staff is unpredictable. One day the housekeeper showed up at 5 pm—another day she never came—I was forced to call for housekeeping. There was an unknown strong moldy smell in our conference room. In addition, our conference room wasn’t cleaned or serviced overnight.
