37 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

First off, it is 10$ to park your own car in their parking lot... Which is not monitered at all, and, to be honest, today with inflaiting prices paying 140$ (Stock) for a room is alot and then adding on another 10 is absoltely ridiculous. The people there are less then friendly - to say the least. The people working there were not familiar with the area therefore making it difficult getting directions. The bathrooms and closets are small and not very "user" friendly.

One good thing - the beds are comfortable.

You will have better luck staying in a hojo.

65 year old woman with a moderate budget

We stayed at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk for a week long conference. When we arrived there were not enough bathroom linens. The first night we were there the fire alarm went off FOUR TIMES between 3 and 4 a.m. It went off in the middle of the night a total of 4 of the 7 nights we were there, at least 2-3 times each night. Housekeeping was not timely. One day we did not even get our room cleaned as housekeeping showed up at around 5 p.m., while we were dressing for a banquet. The closets are so small and not nearly wide enough to handle a regular hanger, they jam your clothes when the doors are closed. The bathrooms are so small you can barely turn around. There are no mirrors in the bedroom area, only a mirror over the sink and closet door directly across from the sink. This area is so small that when one person is at the sink another cannot get into the closet. The rooms themselves are very small. The area around the toilet was a permanent brownish color. The coffee pots provided are awful. They only make one cup of coffee at a time and the paper cups supplied do not keep the coffee warm.

A panhandler accosted us near the elevator area at 8:30 one morning.

All in all it was a very bad experience. If you want a good night's sleep it is suggested that you go elsewhere.

I am not likely to return to the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk.
I would not recommend it to friends.

59 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for business

If you are staying only one-night to go to a football game or a concert, this is a barely acceptable hotel. If you are staying for more than one night - or if you're hosting a conference - consider somewhere else. This property is a Wyndham hotel in name only.

Pros: Clean comfortable room and bed. Parking valets friendly/attentive. Great location - river water taxis and nice restaurants (Morton's & Charthouse) in close walking distance. There is a standard hotel safe in the room. Free 800K Wireless. There is a small yet acceptable exercise room and pool. Hotel restaurant is overpriced but the service is great.

Cons: Front desk staff not friendly/attentive. No hotel shuttle available to/from the airport. No free hotel parking available (you pay $10 a day, $12 valet). Motel sized bathroom and shower. No room service except for a small door-hanger breakfast menu. Hotel business center is a joke. Its a phone booth sized room with one PC and laser-printer - plan on waiting. The housekeeping staff is unpredictable. One day the housekeeper showed up at 5 pm-another day she never came-I was forced to call for housekeeping. There was an unknown strong moldy smell in our conference room. In addition, our conference room wasn't cleaned or serviced overnight.

80 year old woman with a moderate budget

my husband and I were at a reunion for destroyer U.S.S. Bole at this hotel. when we arrived the only room left in the hotel was #131. when we checked in and went to room the carpet had two worn holes in it at the door. there was no room to hang clothes, the bathroom was too small to cuss a cat, the smell was bad, and generally a bad mistake. when we checked out a day early because of emergency at home they would not refund our room rent for the day and even charged to park our car that night. We did get the $12 car charge refunded since the car was coming home with us and would not be sitting in a lot. I would never recommend this pile of junk to anyone. I will say the staff was very good.

For the price, this hotel is a rip-off. We stayed at this hotel because of a conference we had to attend. We would have been better off staying at the Hampton Inn or Extended Stay Hotel which were both right across the street.

The rooms were smelly, the carpets were dirty and crusty, as if they had been wet and allowed to air dry without any service. The bathrooms were a decent size but there was a smell of smoke in the bathroom and throughout the rest of the room. There were stains in the ceiling in the bathroom, and peeling paint along the edges, which is evidence of leaking from above. It was a big disappointment and a waste of money. I am surprised it carries the Wyndham name.
