Wyndham Garden Hotel Las Colinas Hotel - Page 1

Last year booked 2 rooms in march for a november stay. when we arrived we were told that our rooms (along with about 40 other guests trying to check in) were no longer available. although they had our reservations, we were told that the guests who were in the rooms the night before decided to extend their stay and that we wouldn't be able to stay. so i guess the lesson is if the room you want is already booked, check in the day before and just squat there until you feel like leaving. we drove in from san antonio. they should have tried to contact us so that we could have made other arrangements on our own. they did not. there were no apologies. and they acted like we were bothering them when they were inconveniencing our entire party. then they gave us a voucher for a "comparable" (translation crappy) hotel for us to stay in. it was borderline MOTEL. the whole place smelled bad. what we booked at the wydham was a suite 2 beds and a fold out sofa in the living area. what we got were rooms with one quen size bed and no fold out sofa. also, wyndham has shuttle to cowboys game. we were told that the subsitute hotel would have the same. of course when we arrived there and asked they laughed at us because there was no shuttle. We had been going to the wydham every year for the previous 5 years and really liked it. that's why we reccommeded the hotel to our friends who were joining us. but after this experience WE WILL NEVER RETURN and I WARN EVERYONE...you better have a back up plan because you can't rely on Wyndham.

Pat Aguilar was very profesional as were the counter workers, and the service people. However, I was very disappointed with book keeping, and other staff who seem to not know what the other people around them were doing. Calls to confirm were made when I had already confirmed, calls I made were never returned, etc.

The team needs to learn how to work as a unit - corporate mindset and not just my department or unit.

I like that you get an entire suite for the same price that you could get just a bed and bathroom somewhere else.

The hotel was nice. We did not have any real problems. We did ask the front desk staff for a restaurant and activity recommendations and they did not seem to know what to tell us. Expect to pay quite a bit for cabs as the city is very spread out.

The Wyndham Las Colinas hotel has been remodeled and it is a very pleasant hotel with outstanding amenities. The personnel was friendly and helpful.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The room was quiet and comfortable.
