My wife and I went to Chicago for our Christmas vacation in 2005 and stayed here. We were both impressed by our room. It was very attractive and large with good room-darkening thick curtains which I really liked as I like it dark when I sleep. We had no problems. When we were there, it was probably 80% empty, so I don't know if I have accurate noise level advice, but for us, it was extremely quiet. The only negative thing was that the bathtub was quite dirty, bad enough that I opted out of my bath taking desire. This was surprising, as every other aspect of this hotel was excellent.
We also ate in the restaurant there, and the nice chef gave us complimentary fancy desserts, as being a slow time, he was experimenting in the kitchen that day and had us try his creation. His experimenting was a raving success!
It's a very nice hotel for a very reasonable price.
