60 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
When I checked in, I was initially put in a room where someone else already was. We then had to go back down with all our luggage to see about getting another room.
While we had coffee in our room, I had to request regular (all we had was decaf). I went down to restaurant for coffee to take to room & was surprised that it was $5.00. Then it was so hot that when I accidentally spilled it, I had severe burns with water blisters on my arm. The desk clerk was nice enough to take the coffee off my bill. Then we got charged for breakfast. I had booked a breakfast special. When I got home, I saw the charge & I had to call back to see about having breakfast charge removed. Don't know status yet. I have stayed at Wyndam several times & always had a pleasant experience in a beautiful hotel until this past weekend. I will probably stay at Wyndam again & just consider this a fluke, but hope I don't have these kinds of problems again.
AFTER DRIVING SEVEN HOURS IT WAS 1:00am AND WE WERE EXHAUSTED. UPON ARRIVING NAQUATEE (DESK CLERK) INFORMED US THAT THEY HAD OVER BOOKED THE HOTEL AND WYNDAM WOULD NOT HONOR OUR RESERVATIONS. KAREN(NIGHT MGR.) OFFERED TO GET US A ROOM THOUGH IT WAS...
Very nice! Wish I could take the bed with me!

Excellent
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel! We had booked it after a long day at Six Flags. Very easy to find. It is located directly behind the Baymont Suites. The toiletries were from Bath and Body Works and I feel in love with the soap! (After...
I expected more for my money. The restaurant food was less than appealing; room coffee pot did not work, bathroom sink leaked around faucet base which resulted in the counter top always wet. The location was okay.

My experience is horrible here. They charged my credit card more than the invoice. I asked them to give me a copy of the bill, they never returned my call.
The hotel looks like a dump. The interstate is right behind your window so you have traffic noise constantly.

I thought the hotel was nice. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The decor in the rooms were nice, bedding wonderful, but the rooms did not have any refrigerators which was an inconvenience. The hotel was under renovation during my stay, so things were altered a little bit and the lobby and elevators were "freezing". Nice place to stay-I am sure once the renovations are complete it will be great.

It is a great place, located in a short walk to all downtown sites and restaurants. My advice is to bring comfortable walking shoes. Atlanta is very hilly!
Everyone was kind and generally attentive, including the wait staff.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Wyndham Garden Hotel Atlanta Downtown.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
Will always want to stay here!!

This place was truly amazing for the price! We did the Wyndham Weekender Package, and were competely surprised when we found out how nice the room/hotel was! We were on the 7th floor overlooking Downtown!! It was a beautiful view! The bed was very...

Stayed 4 nights in this hotel to attend a conference. The neighborhood isn't one of the best in Atlanta and room service isn't either. My room was not tended to after the first night; when I returned to my room in the evening, everything was as I had left it in the morning (bed unmade, no new coffee, towels to be changed, etc...). Contrary to the staff that think that this is a 4 star hotel, I wouldn't give it more than 2. I think it would be beat by a Best Western. Cleanliness is not one of the fortes of this hotel; smudges all over the shower ceiling and bathroom door, dirty grout between the floor tiles, dirty caulking around the bathtub, etc... I didn't try the outdoor pool. The price was fair given that I had a Government rate that I didn't have to pay for myself and it's 4 blocks away from Peachtree. It is lacking a small refridgerator in the room to keep drinks cool. So all in all, So-So.
