Wyndham Dallas North by the Galleria Hotel - Page 1

I recently had the unpleasant experience of staying at 8501 LBJ Fwy Wyndham Hotel. For $120.00 per night, i thought this place should have been free as soon as i walked into the hallway. Firstly, the carpet stinks.....and no dont let the reception hall fool you. Take a moment and walk into the hallway...then run for your dear life...you will do that without anyone's influence.

Then if you have an unfortunate timing like IKE where all other hotels are full...Wooo unto you. I couldnt stop scratching from the smell in the room. I actually thought i was going to pick up some strange disease from the place. Now when i think back to my experience there, i literally have to take a bath to stop itching. THE PLACE IS TERRIBLEEEE>>> The department of health should stop by and SHUT THE place down.

I cannot tell it all, but i will conclude with the mattress quality. Quite frankly they must be like roaming around and picking this from the trash. I could feel the spring pierce my back all three nights....and i don't know what possesed me not to leave in the mioddle of the hurricane...except the hurricane itself. I travel alot, and have never seen anything like this. I will stick to my Comfort Suites, or Marriotts.

The bathroom was not clean, there was hair in the sink, the shower and on the floor. The phones did not work to call for room service. The Valentine's Day special breakfast in bed was not available due to the phones being out. The customer service representatives responded with a free night to help resolve. I have not used it yet.

The location was fine, but the room was unclean and not up to my standards.

I was very surprised at how great this location is. It is right next to the Galleria on the other side of the highway. The hotel is in wonderful condition and the front desk was more than helpful. I wished that breakfast was included, but other than that, I had no complaints.

I had an early check-in, but they accommodated me. I felt it was a waste to provide free newspapers, even if I didn't want one.

This hotel made me feel pampered: They provided a robe. I was given a large corner room.
