I recently stayed at Woodridge for a 2 week business trip, and have nothing but good things to say for the place. Incredibly warm hosts, delicious gourmet breakfasts, memory-foam bed-lining, and a very relaxed view and atmosphere. Certainly the best place to stay in Slidell / East Louisiana area. Also very close to the Stennis NASA facility for other business travellers.

Excellent
Lucked up and found this place when searching for a hotel in the Slidell area. How nice - Woodridge B&B is tucked away in a semi-residential area just north of town, not on the busy downtown streets. You feel like you have come home! The room ...

We travel B&Bs exclusively, comes from a long bout in England. Woodridge has charming hosts, and provides a warm atmosphere where we felt very welcomed.
Our room was quite comfortable with plenty of room even in the bathroom. Nice amenities including homemade soaps. Bed was very comfy with both feather and foam pillows to snuggle. It was also nice to be able to walk out on the balcony from the room.
Our morning meal was more than what we expected. Presented like a 5 star restaurant but with the feeling of being in a friends home. Superb!
The grounds are lovely even in the dead of winter and we could not resist spending a few moments swinging under the beautiful oaks

Perfect nights sleep in comfy bed. Perfect location, close but not in heart of city with all the noise etc. (Took me 5 minutes to get to Slidell business I was visiting.)
New Orleans airport was about a 45 minute drive, the French Quarter was about a 30 minute drive. Just right for me!

The place was clean and cheery. The room was comfortable, and the bed was excellent for my bad back. I do not think I moved the entire night.
Business had me up and out before breakfast, but the fresh morning coffee was waiting along with some homemade muffins, and they were still warm from the oven. I travel to this area often and this is where I plan to stay from now on.
We have stayed at Woodridge several times and as with fine wine, it gets better and better. We have stayed in the Dogwood, Live Oak and Magnolia suites and each one is decorated with impeccable taste while keeping comfort in mind. Their beds are made for dreaming and after our long drive are always the forefront in our minds.
The last stay was in the Magnolia Suite in early Feb. 2007 with a antique bed dating back to the mid 1800's and matching dresser made by a family ancestor which made furniture for the White House. The fireplace in this room provides extra warmth while setting a romantic atmosphere. This room is special to say the least and for $129.00 a night, what a deal for the area. (An average national hotel room will cost $100+ in the area - we stayed at several before finding this B&B)
The breakfast is a delight, bountiful and scrumptious. And all the extra touches such as homemade chocolates by the bed and homemade soaps in the bath tell the story of how the innkeepers pamper guests.

This hotel was extraordinary & first class in every respect. Its the best B&B we've visited! Its off the beaten path, but still close to everything, perfect relaxation after business with the best bed & delightful breakfast. The hosts were helpful with providing maps & assistance for the area, and they were pleasant company, too.
I am very likely
to return to the Woodridge Bed & Breakfast of Louisiana.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
