Dont waste your money!!. The woodwork on the outside of the building is the only asthetic plus for this dump. No parking for vehicles with trailers. Hotel staff on check-in treated me as more of a nuisance than one who was spending money to stay at their motel. Very blunt, curt and unfriendly. Same at checkout. Person was too busy chatting on the phone to talk to me. The rooms were about as accomodating as a morgue. The airconditioner had only one control knob that only worked if you held it the right way...the other two knobs were missing. The tub was caulked over several times & mold could be seen through the caulk and on the outside. Lousy water pressure. One soda machine avaliable and it was out of order....actually it wasnt even plugged in. Basically the building was more like an Army Barraks than a motel, and being an army veteran of 24 years, I know a thing or two about barraks. A waste of my money & will never stay there again.

We had a nice stay here. Simple, yet comfortable. Family owned and operated for 20+ years. Short walk to Main Street. Small climb up hill on way back. A fair price for Lake Placid as we found most hotels to be overpriced.
