Wood River Inn

The curtains in the room were inadequate at blocking out the streetlight right that was outside of our room. It was like having a very bright night light on and made it difficult to sleep. The bathroom is extremely small and is difficult to move in with the toilet in front of the sink. The bathroom fan was violently loud and needed to be replaced.

In spite of the fact the heater was turned off, it kept turning on in the middle of the night waking us up and finally had to be unplugged. We were woken up at 2:30 an by a drunken domestic violence problem in the room next to ours and called the front desk to have them call the police.

We were charged $10 for long distance calls from our room to toll free numbers and when we complained our money was not refunded. The person who worked the front desk was unable to print us a receipt because they did not know how to operate their registration machine. When the desk manager recommended to the hotel manager that she thought we should receive a discount we were unconditionally refused.

We stayed here after a long night of travel and many of these problems were discovered after it was too late to find a different hotel. I strongly do not recommend this hotel.

Great Rooms and they have done some upgrades. They helped me get the wireless internet working in my room. My computer was not working right. A+++ all the way
