The Wingate Inn was a very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The hotel staff was very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that I know. I would definitely stay there again.

I had arranged my daughter's wedding on Long Island and needed a place for guests and ourselves to stay for the weekend. I looked into the Wingate Inn and had a more than pleasurable experience with the arrangements that were made. The sales department bent over backwards to help me and my family and friends. They all enjoyed themselves and we were able to have a wonderful time and a much looked forward to wedding and reunion.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding party, of which there were three weddings' worth of guests housed at the hotel while I was there.
Bad stuff first: my family and I were consistently "just slightly" let down by the front desk staff. It took one man 10 minutes (and I was still counting) to let me know where my cousin was staying - and she was in one of the perhaps three bridal suites! How hard would it have been to check each of them quickly? Our requests for things up to our rooms came quickly, though.
Medium news next: the rooms were nice and big, and the king size bed / pull-out couch rooms easily held four of us sisters / girlfriends of cousins.
Great news last: the continental breakfast was lovely, and the cookies that seemed to be out as afternoon snacks were quite welcome. The lobby bar and staff were great - they were quite accomodating post-wedding when my relatives and assorted friends and I weren't quite ready to go to bed, but certainly weren't up to bouncing off of the walls.
The next time a Long Island cousin gets married, I would certainly not object to going back there - the good far outweighed a few isolated annoyances.

This hotel made me feel welcome: There were plenty of people at the front desk to greet us and aid us with check in.

40 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Every employee we met did everything they could to make our stay perfect. I made the reservations for a group of 40 people and everyone of them told me this was the best hotel they had ever stayed in. Love you.
This hotel made me feel pampered: Anything we wanted they got for us.
