Your stay at the White Dove Cottage includes breakfast, served at either 8:30 AM or 9:30AM and afternoon tea served between 4PM and 5PM. Breakfast at the White Dove Cottage is a sumptuous affair. Guests dine at their leisure around a grand banquet table set with lace, fine china, heirloom crystal. Breakfast consists of courses carefully chosen, including varieties of hot entrees, juices, fruits, home baked breads, desserts, coffee and teas. Special dietary needs can be accommodated. A Delightful Retreat Built in 1866, the house is second empire style with a beautiful mansard roof faced with original octagonal slate tiles. Reflecting the life of quieter times, the three floors were built with bright sunny rooms to take advantage of ocean breezes. The comfortable veranda is furnished with rocking chairs and shaded by old sycamore trees. We are on a quiet, gaslit residential street in the Primary Historic District. The beach and shops are less than two blocks away. Also within easy walking distance are special year round events: theater, concerts, tours and a choice of the best restaurants in New Jersey.
