My husband and I really enjoyed Whiskey Pete's. We only had reservations for one night, and had reservations for the following two nights at Primm Valley Resort. I don't know why the Primm Valley resort is rated higher, Whiskey Pete's is much nicer. The check-in went smoothly, we had a very nice room. At the Primm Valley we had an awful room with a view of a brick wall which I promptly asked for another room, the view still wasn't very good and the room was really shabby with two small double beds. At Whiskey Pete's , the room had much nicer and newer furnishings, along with a writing desk, and more drawer space. We had a great view and a window seat. The A/C was excellent. They also have a much nicer bathroom than the Primm Resort. The bathroom had nice counter space along with a sliding glass door shower with a seating area. The casino was great with good service and entertainment. We also did well on the slots. I would definitely stay there again. The parking was very close to the entrance and was flat so it was easy to roll my luggage without an uphill grade. We also enjoyed going to Buffalo Bill's on the water log ride, and viewing the casino. They as well had entertainment. On Sunday night, Whiskey Pete's had a great band playing that we enjoyed. I regret that I had to stay two night at Primm Resort across the Highway, it was nosier, the room wasn't near as nice as Whiskey Pete's, and on top of that, it cost $11.00 more per night than what Whiskey Pete's charges!! At our arrival at Primm Resort there was also a snafu on our reservations which resulted in a much longer wait, and after viewing a solid brick wall, I asked for another room. I'm still disappointed with the rooms at Primm Resort. We did get to view a room at Buffalo Bill's by a very nice maid. We asked to see a room since we would like to go back and visit again, and the room was very nice with a great view just like at Whiskey Pete's. So on our next visit we will stay at both Whiskey Pete's and Buffalo Bill's

The hotel seemed as busy as usual. Yet the staff seemed as though they could not possibly enjoy themselves at their job. The rooms looked as though the maids forgot to do the cleaning.

I had a bad experience with the host. We had a party of fourteen people and they seated only seven of my party, then took another group, when asked if she knew that the other seven of our group were with the first seated, she screamed at the asking party and was very rude. She would not give her name. The whole party wanted to leave, but we had driven from Las Vegas and wanted to eat there where we were staying and did not want to drive all the way back to Las Vegas to eat.

Whiskey Pete's has a wide variety of restaurants. I had expected it to only have a buffet. The buffet was good and the other eateries looked to be high quality also but closed earlier than I expected. Also closing too early was the arcade. I understand that children are supposed to be in bed, but my date and I wanted to play air hockey after having a couple of drinks and couldn't because it was closed. The casino had the appropriate variety of table games and the sports book gave me a half point better than a Las Vegas casino would have. Overall it exceeded my expectations.
This hotel made me feel entertained: I was surprised to see the arcade and the shooting gallery along the river. I would have enjoyed trying them out but they closed too early.

The room was dirty. The sheets looked like they hadn't been changed. There was stuff under the bed. The shower was also dirty. I heard the same complaints by other guests.

We go six to eight times per year and always stay at Whiskey Pete's if available. They have good service and a great restaurant.

The Lady at Check-in was very slow. She never smiled or exchanged pleasantries. I asked her if she was feeling alright and she said she had a terrible headache. I asked her if there was anything I could do to help. She simply answered no. The guest room wasn't very clean. The TV didn't work well and the bed was so hard that I tried sleeping on the floor. The view from my mother's room was a block wall and garbage dumpsters. Our room was on a higher floor so we could see past the wall. We were planning to stay two nights, instead we left after the first. Needless to say, we will never stay there again.

I liked the hotel and the casino. The pool was great. It was just a little too far out of the way for me. They also need some local Nevada TV stations. All I got was California stations.
This hotel made me feel excited: The atmosphere of the hotel was lively.

The hotel is located about 20 minutes from downtown and it is fairly comfortable to stay. Although the room service never came, this hotel is okay for a few days when you visit Las Vegas and want to have fun. The best thing for this hotel is the price. This hotel is very inexpensive!
It has casino on the first floor and we can gamble any time we want. If you want to stay in this hotel, I would recommend bringing shampoo and conditioner because this hotel does not provide these. But again, it does not matter with its reasonable price.
For the last thing, I need to say that all of us that stayed in this hotel love the name of the hotel, Whiskey Pete's! So cute :) !

32 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I needed to get away from Los Angeles for a few days, but I didn't want to go all out and spend a lot of money. I remembered that on the way to Las Vegas last year that we passed a town called Primm. So I went online and was pleasantly surprised to find that I could get the room for less than $20 a night. I booked five days on Vegas.com (which was an AWFUL experience) and my stay from Sunday to Friday totalled $112 and some change. Nice.
So I drove out with my son and when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. It looked good even during the day. Checking in took longer than I would have liked, but that may have been because it was smokiy in the casino near the Check-in desk. I had reserved 2 queen beds, but it came up as one king (Vegas.com again), but they were able to fix it and give me a room with two queens. They even asked what floor we wanted, which was nice. The room was very spacious and clean. My only problem was that the bathroom had no tub, only a shower. But the shower was big enough for 5-6 people, so that was ok and they had little seats coming out of the wall (I'm not explaining that correctly), so I could sit while the shower was on. Also, the tv didn't have many channels to choose from. There are two other hotel casinos in this little "town", and it also has an outlet mall and fast food places. If you didn't want to drive the half hour to Las Vegas, you really wouldn't need to. There's a McDonald's in the hotel as well as a resturant and there were signs for some big singers coming in the near future (great if you like country music). I did have one problem with a male staff member talking about me sexually in Spanish (I speak Spanish), but when I alerted the proper person, it was handled promptly.

We had a slight sugar ant problem in our daughters room. But the resort was very courteous about that and gave them a different room, and they also gave us four free meal passes to their smorgasbord restaurant!
