Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel

I checked in to the hotel and it took me 10 minutes waiting in line. In this day and age, that is too long. I stayed for one night and used a park and fly package. They overcharged me $100 over the price they quoted. I had to send them proof of my reservation. In all my travels, this is a first. They issued a credit but didn't say they were sorry.

I do not recommend this hotel if you are using it to get to the airport. A lot of the hotels have switched to a third party shuttle service to take people to and from the airport. This is not a good service. The shuttles are too few and far between and they crowd you in shoulder to shoulder. They now share with a La Quinta, Holiday Inn and another hotel so you have to stop at each one on the way to and from the airport. Try to find a hotel that still has their own shuttle.

The rooms are typical Westin. They are nice and comfortable. The staff was not great but not bad either.

I expected more but it was still a nice stay. Staff was very pleasant and kind and helpful, always ready to fill my water or coffee cup and get me anything I needed. Room was cozy, not the best I've had, but decent. Overall good, but they charged me $125 extra so be careful!

I stayed here for 2 nights. The gym was hard to find and small, but rather clean. The restaurant in the lobby is a little pricey but good. The location is a plus because it's a short short cab ride from LAX. The neighbourhood in that area is a little shady, I wouldn't feel safe walking outside the hotel.

I liked the location and the amenities.

It was conveniently located for an overnight stay at the airport. It is not a good location for a longer term stay.
