Westin Fort Lauderdale Hotel

I reserved and prepaid my hotel through Travelocity. The hotel took $340.00 so far out of my account (unarthorized) and caused $99.00 in over draft fees. It has now been five days and I have not received my money back nor does the staff like to return your calls. The hotel is beautiful but the house keepers bug you too much by always knocking on your door and asking if you need anything, when if I did I would call and ask. I would never stay there again. And becareful because the Marriott down the street is affiliated with the Westin.

I liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. I got an upgrade to a junior suite, which was nice. I did not like that they did not have a concierge floor and the bathroom was musty and mildewy.

This hotel made me feel important: They called me by name and they remembered my name later. They tried to deliver a New York Times newspaper.

Our stay was perfect, the room was perfect and so was the restaurant. We used the hotel as an overnight stay prior to our leaving on a cruise vacation.

Everything was good at the Westin hotel.

The air conditioning malfunctioned and the hotel repair service was inadequate and incompetent. Food service was terrible as well. When I wrote to the hotel to advise them, I got no response or rebate.
