56 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We recently stayed at the Westgate Palace, as our Timeshare location at Westgate Lakes was full.

Wow. Dissapointment!!! The two bedroom apartment is about half the size of Westgate Lakes ones. Large swimming pool is good, but NO Hot Tub. There is a small kiddies pool, but never saw it being used. There is a Deli, which closes when most people are returning back to the property after being out all day. We had to call staff for cooking utensils, as there were none. The Fridge was turned down and ice maker was shut off. No ice machine available, and had to call down for ice to be delivered.

Once we got to our room, and read the resort details, we found that to have beds made and garbage emptied, it would cost us $20 per day. Westgate Lakes did not charge for this.

They call it a Palace, but it's really a Hotel, with limited facilities, and for a place that's only a few years old, it's not in very good shape.

Hint!! If you plan to cook, take along a non stick skillet, as they provide a low quality steel one, to which, even water will stick to.

The suite was much bigger and better equipped than we expected. We loved the property, most everything was kept up well and it was well landscaped. The location was central to many tourist attractions in Orlando.

This hotel made me feel respected: The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed.

I am very likely to return to the Westgate Palace Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The rooms are nice and the staff is friendly. The pool was filthy the entire trip and I never saw any staff attempt to resolve this.

I am very likely to return to the Westgate Palace Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.

I went to the hotel last New Years with my friends, and we had a wonderful time, the suite was spacious and very clean, it had everything we could think of. The resort provided a free dinner, and free breakfast the next morning. We only spent 99 dollars on 2 nights and 3 days. It was worth every penny. I would recommend it to all families. The rooms come with a large screen tv, a huge tub, kitchen appliances and a dvd player. Loved every minute of my stay

I am very likely to return to the Westgate Palace Resort.

40 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The Westgate Palace Resort is a tall tower with two wings located just off busy International Drive (or I-Drive) in sunny Orlando. While by definition it is best to get around by car in Orlando (and there is a free parking lot here for guests), you can get away with taking the buses and shuttles running up and down I-Drive, or you can go crazy and walk around too. The lobby seems very quiet all the time and was a place to just pass through. The room I was in was huge, perhaps one of the largest I have spent time in. I stayed here with a co-worker, but that was fine with us as each of us had a full bedroom and bathroom. His bedroom had a queen bed and bathtub, while mine had two very firm double beds and a shower. The completely furnished living room had a television, which made it a total of three in the entire suite. The kitchen had a pleasant bar seating area along with a microwave, large refrigerator, and even a washer and dryer. The cleaning staff does not come every day, but that was fine with me. The outdoor pool was a popular place to be, and there was a kids lounge with things like video games. The exterior has a vaguely Caesars Palace look to it, but the spacious and comfortable rooms are what you will remember.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Westgate Palace Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.
